The key fob has been working until recently, I've had to push the lock or unlock 2 or 3 times before it will work. Yesterday it decided it didn't want to work and today it is working. Would this be the batteries and if so do I have to take it to a Citroen dealership to get this done or is it something I can do or even a key shop?
Thanks Lliam

My first thought would be the battery. It's something you can change yourself and then reset it by plugging into the ignition switch. It's detailed in my owners manual but in German. Will have a look and get back to you.
According to the manual I have if the battery in the remote control is weak you should get a warning tone and message on the display. Having said that if you want to change the battery anyway open the fob with a coin, and swap the battery. Then to reinitialize it you stick the key into the ignition slot in such a way that the open/close buttons are facing the interior of the car. Start the engine and within 10 seconds press the "close" button on the fob for at least 5 seconds. Turn the engine off and wait at least one minute before trying to use the fob to open or close. Let us know what happens.
