We changed ours this summer at around 20k. Original Michelin Energy tyres. Replaced with Toy Proxes CF1 - much quieter. Most of our driving is twisty A and B roads in the lakes & dales, so would tend to be a little harder on tyres than pootling up & down the motorway.

I'm now on 30,000 miles on the original set of Primacys. 16inch wheels. All 5 have about 4mm of tread left. Car will be 3yrs old next March. I have regularly swapped the spare with the rears. The front tyres do wear slightly quicker than the rears so I swapped front to back some time ago ensuring tyres going onto front had equal tread depth.
I pay attention to tyre pressures & increase to fully loaded pressures when towing caravan. It is good to swap spare regularly as carrier frame can cause sidewall damage if spare is not moved every few months.
