wet drivers carpet 1.6hdi van
#1
Can someone point out where I should look for the drains from the scuttle panel and if tthey can be reached without removing the panel?

My drivers side carpet is wet and can only think it`s rainwater / melting snow entering.

Many thanks.

there are drain channels under the wiper arm covers and mine often get blocked with leaves/moss etc but shouldn't lead inside the cab!

But they often do!! Remove wiper arms and panel and beneath (after you've taken out the leaves and bits of paper etc. Is what I believe is a piece of foam. Previous posts have suggested that this could be replaced/supplemented with a sheet of heavy gauge polythene sheet to deflect moisture down the outside of the bulkhead.
The worst that can happen is that eventually the moisture drips onto the BSI and then things really get interesting with unexplained electrical events! So this is worth checking.
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

Can you post a picture of exactly where to position the polythene sheet?
