[Transmission] Engine/Gearbox Juddering
#1
Photo
Hi guys, Im experiencing a pretty bad shuddering going on in my Berlingo '98' 600D van... Going up through the gears, If i keep my hand on the gearstick It kinda rocks in what i can desceribe as an eggshape motion, seems to be speed related and then when out on the road when im going uphill or when the engine starts to struggle it judders like mad, engine gearbox the lot, Im not getting any slip on the clutch, the bite is still exactly the same as its been since ive had it and no obvious oil leaks around it. Im just wondering if anyone has encountered the same symptoms or has an idea of what could be causing me this issue. Thanks MG.

Thanks Ron, whats the best way to test the mounts ?? Ive tried just grabbing hold of it and giving it a good ol shake, couldnt really move it tbh, Id like to think that it is just the mounts .........

Check the mountings visually, look for signs of cracking, bonding breaking. The L/H (trans) mtg seems to go first.
