With spring arriving and more than 3 hours of sun and temperatures over 15c, I decided to start trying to give the new lingo a new lease of life.

First off I started to work out the issue of the poor MPG (33mpg), after questions on here I gathered a list of things to check that has now turned into things to do!
1st) all the air intake, filter housing, EGR valve and air intake manifold removed and I wish I hadn't bothered![/i][/font]

Well I spent a couple of hours in the work shed giving the EGR a clean, its come up better than I thought it would!

If in doubt smash it to bits :woop:

Another great job! That silver intake manifold will be gummed up too though!

All diesel by it's nature causes this build up. It might be less with branded stuff? But the fact remains by recycling exhaust gases you will get this build up and it will reduce performance. Therefore negating any emissions reductions supposedly gained by the egr system.. In my opinion
