I have been having fun with replacement wiper motors. First one I received was siezed and the second one I received has a different socket on it, presumably for a later car? Mine is a 2001 model.
However, I have been checking the existing wires to the wiper unit and I can only find one that provides 12v from the relay when the switch on the stalk is switched on. The other two wires go to earth using my continuity tester.
My understanding is that the 12v from the switch is the starting circuit, there should be a 12v feed for parking the wiper and another wire (probably the grey one) should go to earth. If one of the yellow wires is also reading as being connected to earth, it must be broken somewhere?
Would I be right in thinking that one of the two yellow wires isn't functioning correctly? I tried to trace the fuse, but the diagram I have in the haynes manual doesn't really seem to match the fuse box I have fitted in the car. Is there any access to the correct wiring diagram for my vehicle?
All help would be appreciated.
