I bought a neglected and abused berlingo multispace at a bargain price and have been spending the last month getting it up to M.O.T level, given it a cut and polish and its shining like a new penny. The only thing letting down the overall exterior look Is the nearside sliding door has a whacking great dent in it, otherwise it looks lovely.

The other day I happened to notice a mk2 at my local french car breakers that'd been well and truly through the wars, it had clearly spun around bouncing off a few things along the way and ended up on its roof, every panel and window was F**ked apart from the n.s sliding door, which looked in showroom condition, and it was in my colour .

I'd be interested to know what are the differences between the mk1 and mk2? more bodywise than anything but any other info would be interesting too...

I.e are the sliding doors the same? will the load cover from the mk2 fit my mk1?

Cheers

Any suggestions

That was all done and i got to take it for a drive for the first time, and after about 5 mins of driving the front brake bind on. I have cleaned all the carriers up and the pistons in the calipers move freely, first thing in the morning when i get in the van i have to pump the pedal a few times as it goes to the floor. Then once they work the pedal is rock solid and i have to touch it with a feather for them to work. Any suggestions. Thanks

Almost every time we make a trip to the UK we haul along our chest freezer (it's not that huge) and plug it into the mains in my mum's garage, then when we are ready to come home everything is frozen nicely and it usually stays that way until we get home to Belgium.
Mum lives 30 mins from the tunnel at Folkestone and then it's nearly 3hrs to home from Calais.

I say lives, she died suddenly last October from cancer,so we now have a bit further to go,to Felixstowe, where my brother lives.

So,I decided to look into running the freezer off an inverter.
The first thing to do was see what amp/wattage the freezer was, turns out to be 150w,so I purchased a 300w inverter to err on the side of caution.
Next was to run some heavy cable (I used motorcycle battery cable) from the battery, around the back of the bulkhead, underneath the car and into the boot. The cables are protected with convoluted conduit and ran seperately and secured along the brake pipes.
The side panel in the boot was removed and the inverter was connected.

Did it work? Yes it did, even the milk was almost frozen when we got home!
