I know I was thinking a man what will I replace it with etc etc but another year it will be hehe...

I also had the top mount changed today so no more winding up the spring to a twang!!
I'm getting a key cut tomorrow see if that works.

Cheers

The timpsons key has an immobilser chip in it , its a small torpedo shape in their keys.

Part way through the programming you will need to take the immobiliser chip to your car to 'sniff' it so park as close as you can!

The local cobbler (£16)had no Citroen blank keys so couldn't get it cut but there is a local timpson in the asda but I don't no if I can get parked near?? Is it essential to be near what is the 'sniff ' I need to do??

If it's in Asda then you must be able to use their car park you have to walk to your car to code the new key they will tell you how to do that so if the car is close you won't have to walk so far

Ah so it's a new key and chip?? The 'cobler' was going to take the chip out of my existing key and add it to the newly cut key. So in essence I wasn't get an extra key just a better quality one than I currently have (which is grooved and hacked to bits)but seemingly good enough to get a cut from.....

Yeah I'm all for Conserving energy so I'll park close, I'll even drag my kids along so I can park in the parent/toddler hehe

I've had a persistent little oil leak between the gearbox and dif area so since it's passed its test I've treated it so a new seal and fingers crossed it's worked and I have no more leaks!? Happy days
