Could anyone give me some pointers please for changing door lock.dont want to go in blind, cant find my haynes manual.
There's a small black plastic cover in the side of the door at the height of the lock.
Remove that(carefully, the plastic is brittle. Probably have to glue it back on later... ) and you'll be able to see in to here the lock is fastened.
The lock is held with a 'fork' made of sheet metal, and there's a lip of that that can be gripped with tongs and pulled out.
Get a firm grip, though, as you'll have to remove the door card if you drop the part inside the door...
When the 'fork' is out, the lock should be loose and can be maneuvered so that you can unhook the wire going to the latching mechanism.
Install is pretty muh the reverse.
