as a result of broken straps 1, Citroen do sell these as a separate item,so i am assuming they can be replaced,i take it the metal back plate has to be removed, but i cant see any screws holding it on,the man at Citroen couldn't tell me(or wouldn't, i don't know) :brickwall: so is there anyone out there who has replaced these straps,if so could you please tell me where to start , thanks GWYN :woop:

hello Brodfather u ok, sorry new to forum dont know how to upload fotos yet,the straps in question are,=when you fold the rear seat forward ,the straps at the bottom of the seat are pulled up and hooks are released from the bars in the floor to fold the whole seat forward, the straps in my lingo are broken,so i have to unhook them by hand, i hope this is understandable,(nelson LOL) GWYN

Ah ! I see what you mean now. The straps on a previous multispace I had were broken also but I think I replaced them with some nylon cord , crude but effective and since I only have a van now and therefore cant look and tell you much more , Sorry !.
There must be somebody on the forum who has had to change them and can tell you more.

The upholstery on the seats has a plastic edging which pushes into the metal back plate folded edge. It can be fiddly and awkward as it is not really designed for dismantling. We did it to get at something in the centre seat but our Mk2 doesn't have any retaining straps and I can't really see how it would need them as the seats are wedged solid when they tilt forward.
So where does this bit go then ?
