power steering query
#1
I think my 2013 enterprise van is developing a power steering fault, with only 11,500mls i sincerely hope not. Noticed while turning the steering wheel an intermittent vibration  / small jerky movement as if something isnt right. checked the fluid level all Ok, no signs of leaks, nothing wrong with tyres. power steering pump would hardly fail so soon .. would it !!

Probably still under warranty? Let the dealer fix it.

Its intermittant (hasnt done it in a few days) so I'll keep an eye on it. Does warranty last a year and after that its down to servicing. ?

Mine is a 2012 with 93k kms and has developed a bad vibration when turning steering wheel, mostly to the left. Feels like it's in the power steering pump. Dealer had a look during the week and asked me to drop it back next week. Will update later.

iv been complaining about steering issues since I bought it in 2012, steering pulling, pulls when breaking, have also had the vibration when turning, reported it to Citroen but every time they take a look, they say can't occur the fault same answers all the time.

In for a long winded process

My 2013 Berlingo has developed this vibration/judder. Been doing it all day today. Not sure if it's connected but I also notice that, when turning the steering wheel whilst stationary, my lights dim and the heater motor slows, as if the p.s is using too much power. Is that normal?

That's just the engine rev's slowing down under stress of the power steering pump and is normal  Smile

I tried this on mine this morning and noticed no change to the lights or heater blower, mine also has electric power steering.
