V6 sleeper

On the B9 model the Multispace/Tepee were different by market.
A couple of years ago I spotted a Partner Tepee in Spain with rear barn doors and posted a pic here on this forum, some interesting comments were added to that post. https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-15051.html
That suggests its all different combinations of parts from the PSA parts bin.
Once these combinations of parts are welded together they may not be easy to re-work.

That's my point, the hinge mounts are not removable with tools, they're spot welded into the body shell at manufacturing time. Not saying it's impossible but would be very difficult and time consuming to convert over. The roof panel and side panels are pressed individually and it would be easy to assemble as a multispace or van, depending on build sheet. So the van roof panel may not have an area or shape to take the tailgate and vice versa.

Barn doors will need side reinforcement and tailgate will need roof reinforcement, both in different ways.

Like I say, I could be totally wrong.

Btw that could be why there are body bolts just inside the shell on the sides of the van, holding structural members in place for the barn doors....remember the thread where someone wanted to remove them to fit bike mounts or something, and decided not to, as they seemed to be holding something heavy when he loosened them....?

You've chosen (in my opinion) the best one for a sleeper too as that front is a little more aggressive than the newer, rounder models. I myself have a Peugeot 306 GTI-6 engine swap (among a few suspension fiddles for track etc) and I love it to bits as the perfect combination of a fun to drive, surprising sleeper and also massively convenient daily driver. However that was a pretty straightforward swap out as they use the same engine mounts etc. So i'm impressed you're going for the V6 approach which would no doubt stomp all over mine hahaha.

So a bit more work done.

Finally got the 'lingo in the basement of the in-laws. (yes that's underneath their house with a hydraulic lift)

   

Also started to remove the front, and discovered some not-so-nice things.

   

Seems to have been in an accident in it's prior life.

   

   

Also, the A/C was advertised as working. During the drive to the in-laws, the blower wasn't even doing anything... I also discovered on of the pipes of the A/C is going to nowhere now, any guess to where it should go?

GTI-6 swap is undoubtedly also great! Would probably be top of the list if my uncle didn't have the V6 already.

Got a bit of work done.
All the electrical connectors one the engine are loose. Next are the exhaust and driveshafts. Also want to get the PAS pump and airco pump off the engine before taking the engine out. This so I don't have to hassle with too many hydraulic and airco tubes.

   

Got some better look at the damage from it's earlier life. Not too bad, but not great.

   

   

   

Got to wait until some groundworks are done at the in-laws to get the engine hoist in the basement, I guess a week or two.
