Missing Items From New XTR?
#1
I've just acquired a new Berlingo XTR 1.6HDi and have a couple of questions regarding "missing items" compared to my previous one.

1) The older (2102) one had a small fibre-mat/cover on top of the engine around the oil filler region. The new one doesn't and so more of the engine is visible, and there are two vertical metal "pips" which I'd imagine were originally used for the cover retainers.

2) Under the front passenger seat there is a plastic frame to hold the wheel wrench, hex key etc securely. However the threaded rod (approx 5" long) which screws in temporarly to the hub to assist re-fitting a road wheel, is missing.

Before I go back to the garage to query, can an owner of a new-ish Berlingo confirm whether the above items are still meant to be there?

Thanks,
Allan

Good to know the cover is not missing, just omitted!
The boot light/removable torch I can confirm is also omitted and the recess blanked over. Might need to make up a lamp to plug into the rear 12V socket for those dark nights rummaging in the boot.

So that's just the threaded rod in the jack/lever kit to check on ....

Thanks for responding.

The thing my wife moans about most is the missing sliding drawer under the front passenger seat. There is only one under the driver's seat now. Yes, penny pinching.

My MK2 only has one under the passenger seat.

I love it because I find things I thought I'd lost years ago in the back of it.

My 2010 XTR does have one under the passenger seat only the drivers seat, so this may not be a new thing being omitted

Thanks for reminding me about the sliding drawer under the front passenger seat.
I've now found my binoculars which have been missing for over a year!

I used the Torx tool for removing foglight. Instructions are in handbook for changing foglight bulb.
