No
Wanted just type 'No', but the amount of characters was not enough
Not a great fan of these 'retro' models - the originals were built as a cheap runarounds, but these are nothing like that
I have a classic Mini and the fun you can have in it is fantastic - the new BMW 1/2 series Mini just doesn't have the fun factor, it's just another small car with a hefty price tag

VW did it with the Beetle, where's the problem ? Nissan Figaro has a big following, some people just like stuff how it used to look, old Minis for example.
So where does this bit go then ?

BMW Mini doesn't have the fun factor? Really? The one I drove with 192bhp was great fun, a brilliant car. One of the best hot hatchbacks ever. Ok, it's not quite as fast or as grunty as my Audi TT but it's still hilariously good fun and a nice place to be in.

There is no problem. The modern beetle is a good car. The old one was a crap car.
Some people like to hanker back to the good old days and like this old crap. I have no idea why. Minis, Beetles, Allegros, 2cvs, ancient Saabs. They're all horrid compared to modern cars.
I love cars. I served my time working on old British tat then Citroens at a main dealer. Old cars are no longer produced like they were as they weren't even great then, especially British ones.

I wouldn't buy a 2CV it's ugly. I like the beetle VW made a good job of it. I read somewhere Ford was going to make a Capri the pictures I saw looked kinda ugly.

Yes I agree with you that modern cars are far better cars, more refined, more comfortable and much quieter, but you would expect them to be, there after all 40+ year younger and technology has moved on a great deal
But when I get in my turbocharged Classic Mini with 185bhp, the buzz is out of this world
Not a fantastic top speed (about 125mph and scary), but it will go from 0-60 in just over 5 seconds, and run the strip at 13.67seconds, crossing the line at 115mph
Absolutely useless in the wet though!!

You forgot to mention that bit. I bet it is hilarious fun! I used to help out in a chaps garage in school holidays back in the early 80s and he was into racing and tuning Minis. Fun, but not me now I'm 42 and ache a bit I prefer my power with some comfort... though I do also own a 3 wheeler Morgan replica based on a Renault 4 which will do around 115mph :-) it's like sitting in a bath. A fast bath.
