Hi, im a new member i have a 2003 berlingo van 1.9d, i changed the ecu, bsi and key fob today and the engine wont fire up, it cranks and turns over but will not fire, i have done checks and can see it is not getting fuel. Does anyone know if the fuel pump needs to be programmed to the new ecu/bsi? Any ideas would be welcome thanks.

Hi Scottn4957,
Welcome to the forum ,
Just wondering why you changed the ecu etc, ?
According to some other posts which I found by searching the forum some pumps should be coded/programmed to the ecu which can be done by a stealer, sorry dealer.
Other pumps don't, more likely the older model pumps.
Some people had cut off the metal shielding round the solenoid and rigged a switch to it , bypassing the ecu.
Don't know if a lexia code reader can do it .
