The Auto Express article is a bit of a 'mish mash' I think it mixes all the types of vans and cars together.
Extra seats, yes on the 7 seater. Opening rear window, yes on the model with an opening rear window ( I have one) Extra knee room, yes as you say on the auto with three front seats.

Yes, but the main upgrade is that 6th gear, it's needed that since the Mk3 came out, and the extra 10bhp should do the trick.

Does anyone know for certain if the new six speed manual has a higher top gear, or are they just just closer spaced?

Now that's a good question, because if the 6th gear doesn't reduce the rpm by 250+rpm over the 5th gear, then it's not that beneficial. They're around, some sites are already discounting them, looking on the net, at under £15k, which is not too bad if it's got top spec XTR. Spoke to my local Citroen dealer regarding delivery, 12 weeks unless it's a colour in the compound. I'm still happy with the Kyanos Blue, but not been able to find a road test on the net, regarding the gearbox. My present Berlingo is my first ever Citroen, and it has been trouble prone since new, but with all the injectors replaced, due to faulty batch, a while back, it has settled down and is smooth and quiet, with good mpg. My extended warranty expires November, so I will be replacing it one way or another.
