[Transmission] best clutch
Hi all, I'm replacing my clutch this weekend, which is the best clutch kit to buy from motor factors???

is they any other little jobs that are good to get out of the way while the van is in bits??

do i need any special tools?

Hi Stuart....Good things have been said about LUK clutch kits....It's what my repairer fitted to mine and it's fine.
On the Berlingo it's not an area you want to scrimp on as it's a pig of a job!

LUK, Valeo, go with the good brands. Just put an LUK in mine as that was the best they had at euro car parts.
Remaps available for 1.6 EDC16, 2.0 Bosch EDC15 & Siemens SID801

Is there anything specific that makes it difficult?

I've not done the Berlingo clutch but I would say that most front wheel drive cars are a pain because of the lack of space under the bonnet.
So where does this bit go then ?
Don't forget to lube the flywheel bush.

Also purchase a bearing guide tube, and a clutch fork, both parts will only be about £20, Valeo clutch kits come with a bulletin explaining that these should be changed, it is well worth the extra cash.
