Hi all. I have a berlingo van 1.6hdi on 2012 plate with 40 k..just recently diagnosed with worn clutch release bearing but told not to do until time for new clutch..
Am now experiencing a judder when reversing up slight gradient on drive way and when pulling away in first and second gears however it's intermittent but the 1st , 2nd gear issue is worse after a long drive.. All of this has only started though since I had new brake pads and tyres fitted on front only... Any suggestions are welcome ...cheers in advance

Check engine mountings.Contaminated or warped clutch plate. It may sound silly but check wheel bolt security.

Cheers jed, think I may stop off at main dealers during week to get them to check brakes as it has only started since that day..does 40 k on a clutch seem a bit low though?

The thing is if your not the first owner how much time did they sit in traffic with their foot on the clutch peddle let the dealer check it through first and we will know where we are coming from

True indeed and think the good old days where people buy a new vehicle and break them in gently are a thing of the past ..always seems to be brand new motors overtaking me!
