I hope I have the correct sub forum. Now please excuse my stupidity here as I do not know the specific names for places on the car, so bear with me.
The bit between the black trim on the passengers side, and the bottom of the car that's supposed to be tough and has the bumpy paint on it, the gap in between them had a line of rust on it so I got my trusty Dremel out with a wire brush attachment and got all the rust off. I then put some rust converter on and left it for half an hour. Then wiped it all off, methsed it all off and duly added my primer, colour then lacquer. I got the colour from the paint shop in a spray can, Googled the code, EKR I think, Arctic Breeze or Steel. The guy knew for the EKR code it was Citreon Silver. I'm a Painter and Decorator so I kinda guessed a lot of the job was prep, degreasing and building up the layers. However I'm no Banksy, it looks a little patchy and annoyingly it's not the same colour, it a few shades darker. The guy who sold me the paint mentioned there was three shades of the EKR, does anyone know which shade I should've got. I apparently got the standard. In answer to my own question it's obviously one of the other ones, but which one?.
