Newbee seeking double din advise
#1
Hi all. Been browsing for and hour or so here about double din installations. It's for a 2012 partner. Wanting sat nav, Bluetooth & reversing camera. Was only for putting in a parrot but there £100 alone and saw head units for £140 so thought I'd explore this option.

I'm thinking of doing one but have a few questions.....

Firstly are the somewhat unbranded screens off eBay worth the £140 or £150? Eg this one 221649131941

It says its compatible with steering controls? Do you think it is or would I need the adaptor from connects2.

Would I need an ISO adapter?

Also read that if you fit one you can't adjust the time. Wondering if the time still appears tho?

Any advise welcome. If you can post links to head units you recommend I'd be grateful.

Looking for this also. But I would go with android version. I have used win 6.0 in some other hardware
but i was not impressed. Also maps for win 6.0 are hard to find. When microsoft releases win10 for
embedded devices you will see a lot of them using it, quickly Smile and it would be supported better...

For the steering wheels controls I have read also that it is supported. I am having hard time believing
, because steering controls are CAN connected. Car manufactures have different CAN messages for stereo
control. I have found a lot of double din with CAN support for WV but not for citroen...

Can somebody confirm this? Or I am missing something ....

Best regards,
brajo

Hey guys. This is no problem. I have done this in my berligno. Take out the tray under the cd player, and push put the cd player from behind. the plastic bar you see in the slot. cut that off and just insert a 7" satnav/dvdplayer MUST BE 7"..

Thanks Tikki . After months of searching finally I found I was looking for in the begging.
I am glad that some one has already build it and is selling for right price Smile

And here is the arduino CAN control
