Berlingo with 3 front seats
#1
hi - i normally transport myself, 2 others & 3 huskies in a 2013  rav 4.

the dogs are wrecking the car & it's also not very safe for them (my main concern).

i'm looking for a small reasonably priced mpv/estate or perhaps a van with 3 front seats.

i'm told that some berlingo's have 3 seats - is that true? - if so, can someone please tell me the model & any other details.

cheers.

the 2008+ lx models of van upwards, in general if its got wheel trims and side loading door it has got 3 seats, although I would say the middle seat isn't full size, more like two and a half seats, the new for transit connect also is available with 3 seats

thanks for your reply - the 2 1/2 seats would probably make it unsuitable as the 3 adults are 6' & 6' + mark & quite hefty.

also the new transit connect would be too expensive even if it had reasonably sized seats - i was looking for something around 4K - we only transport the pups 3 times/week each, an all round trip of about 60 mile.
cheers

Tell them to put their seatbelts on. Big Grin

If you used a multispace you could drop down the rear double seat, leaving the single for the third passenger and maybe get a cage made up to use the rest of the space?

Just an idea off the top of my head.

unfortunately the big male has to be crated/caged separately thereby using up a considerable amount of space - he recently trashed the wife's avensis causing £600 of damage hence the present problem.

the 2 girls have seat belts but to be honest i'm concerned about using them.

if we lived in alaska we would have no problem - mush mush - lol

Its just a thought but have you thought of something like this citroen dispatch http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-DISPAT...1c54e7935f
You can get 2/3 seats in the front or a row of seats in the back and still have plenty of room. There are quite a few vans with 3 front seats but check out vehicle tax as it can be higher than a car version and some van versions face high London emission charges if you need to go in there. There are 6 seater versions available and you could remove a row of seats for the cages.
Well look what ive just found right up your alley http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/09-REG-CITROEN...2a52417f58
A bit of Battenberg down the side and a set of lights on the roof, think of the fun you could have.
Are we there yet????? Huh

that would be perfect but unfortunately i live in belfast & the costs of getting it here would be too high - i was looking at a fiat multipla in blackpool (no decent ones here) & the cost of transportation & an rac inspection was around £1k.
i didn't know about the dispatch but does it have 2 1/2 seats similar to the berlingo?

The seats are bigger in the old dispatch and there is even more room in the newer model.

I've carried my Sister and her 5 year old Grandson comfortably in my 3 seat B9 Berlingo, but I wouldn't recommend trying to carry an adult for any sort of distance, as the gearchange mounting "bulge" intrudes into the space where their legs should go!. The automatic version of the Berlingo does not have this bulge, so might be worth considering.

When you are searching a citroen dispatch is also a Peugeot expert and a fiat scudo to give you a better chance of finding something local.
