Radio eco-mode
#1
I regularly drop the kids at various 'activities' then have to wait for them. I listen to the radio for 20 minutes then it goes into eco-mode and switches itself off. The only way I can continue listening is to have the engine running, what's eco about that!!
Is there any way of de-activating this mode?
Thanks

I don't think its possible to disable but I think Lexia can be used to adjust the time.

I looked at this when I first got my 2010 model and using a Lexia there is no option to disable or adjust the time I'm afraid

On my 2010 model, I have to start the engine to turn off ECO Mode

This is what my user manual says

"After the engine has stopped, with the key in the ignition position, certain functions (windreen wiper, electric windows, courtesy lights, audio equipment, etc.) can only be used for a cumulative duration of thirty minutes, to prevent discharge of battery.

Once the thirty minutes are over, the active functions are put on standby and the battery warning light flashes accompanied by a message on the display.

To resume the use of these functions immediately, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

The time available will then be double the time for which the engine was left running. However, this time will always be between five and thirty minutes"

What's the battery on this thing - a rechargeable AAA?!

It's obvious that the radio uses almost no power, so it could stay on for hours with no harm done. It's a shame they can't put in something that kills the power as soon as the voltage dips a tiny bit - that would protect the battery more intelligently. As it is, it's stupid and no car I've had before was like this. On my previous car the radio would work for 20 mins, but then you could turn the radio off and on and you got another 20 mins. No starting the engine and setting fire to a litre of diesel just to keep the radio running!

Is this a standard Peugeot/Citroen feature?
