Hi

I use an excellent bloke who operates a mobile service and repair set up and he has a workshop where he can work on your car if anything more serious needs doing.  He is based in Sandwich and I find it much more convenient that he comes to me rather than me having to drop the car off somewhere and get back home until I receive the call to come and collect it.  I have also heard good reports of Barrets of Canterbury.  I purchased my car (used) from them and had the front struts replaced under guarantee with no ifs nor buts and I found them to be very thorough in their investigations and very courteous.  I also had the first MoT done there as they were doing a special offer and, although there was an advisory regarding one of the brake callipers, there was no pressure put on me to get them to do it.  As the Berlingos are the same vehicle as the equivalent Peugeot, you could use a Peugeot agent.  I also have a camper van based on the Mk2 Peugeot Partner and earlier this year I had it a basic service and MoT done at the Grand Garage in Cliftonville as my bloke was about to go into hospital for a small op which would put him out of action for a while.  Again, very courteous and seemingly very thorough and although they too were doing MoTs for £40 they didn't try to make up something that needed doing  like some of these cheap MoT merchants do.  My bloke came over today to do a basic service and pre-MoT check on my Berlingo then took it away to be tested (by a colleague who charges full price for MoTs) and the bill came to £167.29.  The bill from the Grand Garage was £149.16 but at least I didn't have to write virtually the whole morning off today.  I have been using this chap for almost 30 years now; his work has never let me down and I know he'll always go that extra mile to get to the bottom of a problem before replacing expensive parts or will help out in an emergency.  If you want his number feel free to email me directly.
