I've just bought a 63 XTR. Do I need to use headlamp beam deflectors for Europe?
I was told that on my C4 Picasso the beams were "flat" and didn't need deflectors and so I never bothered and in 7 years of France and Spain I never had any issues.
Yes, I contacted Citroën UK about the same thing on my 64 plate XTR and they confirmed that I did need beam deflectors. I have just returned from France having used the RAC version which were very easy to apply and worked brilliantly.

Thanks Jay. Much appreciated.
Point your Blingo at a wall with the lights on if you need any convincing - the beam pattern's like a ski slope, way up in the air on the left. This is what's shining into the eyes of the oncoming traffic when you drive on the right.
Back in the '70's Renaults had a little lever in the headlamps to change the beam L--R as needed.Surely it would be simpler to have this than risking badly fitted/made deflectors? Some old ideas were good.

True Ron, I had a BMW GS where you could adjust the headlight for Europe.
