Constantly rebooting then fine for days then doing it again! As for the turning off.....I really felt there should be a main on off button but there isn't so I mute the radio holding the 2 volume buttons at the same time on the dashboard and turn it up when I want to listen! At night time on dark roads I turn off the screen.
Anyway the good news is Citroen BIRMINGHAM have finally got the software update for the touchscreen and this is meant to update the system so it won't reboot and all the DAB functions will! The update came directly from CITROEN uk! Hope that helps!
Any further information on turning off the radio on the Berlingo?
I have recently bought a new (2017) Citroen Berlingo Enterprise van and was baffled the first few days trying to locate the on/off switch for the radio. Needless to say I haven't found one. It seems utterly stupid to me to have no on/off button. I phoned the main dealer only to be told to "just turn down the volume" What t f?
The other thing that needles me is that I've got this 7ins screen. What's that for? It isn't for the sat nav as this came as a separate item with its own mount and cable on the dash. OK, one can view photos on the 7ins screen! wow! So I can drive down the motorway at 70mph and look at my photos 'cos Iv'e got a 7ins screen. Yeh, right!
Neither is the 7ins screen any use for the CD player 'cos it doesn't have one. Yeh, that's correct. It's the top model van and doesn't even have a cd player. But it does have a usb port and an auxiliary socket and as the nice man at the main Citroen dealer explained to me, "no one uses cd players anymore as everyone uses ipods! Well I ....ing don't. So now I have to copy my CD's to my computer; convert the tracks to MP3 then copy the tracks to a usb stick. It's called moving with the times and advancing progress according to the Citroen garage. Really? Oh, and yes; I still can't just turn off my cd/usb music but I can TURN IT DOWN Mr Citroen main dealer! "....ing hell! All I want is a on/off switch.
Great van by the way but shite audio facilities.
I wrote to Citroen with this tale of woe and asked if maybe I was missing something and there was really a secret draw with a CD player in it plus an on/off switch. Oh and what's the 7ins screen for as my Citroen sat nav is a separate item with its own mounting bracket and the radio doesn't need a 7ins screen although one can view ones photos whilst driving down the motorway. As long of course that the photos are not on a cd but that's ok 'cos one can copy them onto a usb stick! Or maybe buy an ipod! The strange thing is; although I was expecting an in-depth reply from them explaining where the secret draw and buttons were 'cos I was too thick to work it out for myself they, didn't reply to my letter. Although I'm left wondering why.
