How to turn off the sat nav/ multimedia / radio display
#1
I have a 2015 berlingo with the large screen with the sat nav radio etc. however there is no on/off button is there a way to just turn the screen off? Like you can just turn a conventional CD player off?
I asked a chap who works at Citroen with the same model and he said that he can't find a way to turn off the screen and radio etc off either,
Thank you

Jon! I have the same mate! What I do is leave it on the radio screen when driving and when I stop to get out, I mute the music by pushing the two volume buttons at the same time either on the unit or from my steering wheel control! If I drive at night on dark roads and want the screen turned off I go into screen settings and turn it off! Note that Citroen are aware of several problems with this touchscreen like how it occasionally resets itself etc! It's a DAB issue! I think a software update is due soon! Check with your dealer! However I do agree there should be a standard on off button to switch the whole unit off!

If you want to turn it off completely, just press the button on the dash next to the trip reset button - you'll need to hold it down for a couple of seconds.

No such button on the XTR that I picked up on Weds - been unable to switch off the radio since!  And the fact the English handbook is apparently not available yet is highly frustrating.  - Pls let me know if you got one for the 2015 model anybody?

Nothing where the dials are? Its the left hand long button next to the rev counter and trip information. I have two buttons there on my 2015 model each side of the odometer.

*edit* not on the main console, they're behind the steering wheel

Nope.  This is the brand new 2015 XTR with a pretty minimal button count, so I guess it's all in the computer, and since the dealer says the English handbook isn't available yet I'm a bit stuffed!  Thanks for trying though.

I'll take a picture in the morning when it's light to show you where I can turn mine off.

Thanks Tree - I'd be interested to see!

**Spoke to the dealer, he says you can't switch it off.  He says turn it down!  …wtf

I totally forgot to take a picture this morning but....

What I have noticed is I can't turn it off when the engine is running. I can turn it on and off though when the key isn't in the ignition.

Besides, what do dealers know. My dealer didn't know about the issues with the touchscreen rebooting! I've had my van just over a week now and almost clocked up a 1000 miles. I think I know more about it then the dealer!

Hey Guys! I've had my 2015 65 plate enterprise van for 3/4 weeks with 2200 miles from new! My touchscreen has been a nightmare! Constantly rebooting then fine for days then doing it again! As for the turning off.....I really felt there should be a main on off button but there isn't so I mute the radio holding the 2 volume buttons at the same time on the dashboard and turn it up when I want to listen! At night time on dark roads I turn off the screen.

Anyway the good news is Citroen BIRMINGHAM have finally got the software update for the touchscreen and this is meant to update the system so it won't reboot and all the DAB functions will! The update came directly from CITROEN uk! Hope that helps!
