ok so can anyone tell me when to expect my service warning light to come on? My first service is looming so just wondered what to expect. Then once my 3 yr contract for servicing expires how do I stop the light coming on then, as I will service myself then.
cheers
Pete.

According to my German language manual the wrench service light should come on and stay on when the motor is running when you have less than 1000km before your next service is due. When you start doing your own then you can reset the service counter easily to 0 when it reaches that value so it won't be annoying.

switch off ignition
press & hold trip recorder reset button
switch on ignition
the display begins a countdown
when display shows =0 release button, spanner disappears.

I do that every time I fill up with fuel, so does that , has that affected my service light coming on?

To zero the trip recorder press the reset button with ignition on. To make the spanner disappear once it is staying on permanently with service is overdue, you press & hold button ignition off & then turn ignition on while still holding button, its in the owners' manual.

Well, if you follow the sequence Opensauce posted then you have been zeroing your service light after fueling. You'll need to subtract the mileage at your last service from the current to get an idea when the next id due.

my mileage reads 9068 miles at present so maybe too soon for spanner light to show. However if I have been resetting my trip recorder each time I fill up , maybe this has buggered this little warning?
