Yes indeed, I have read up on the air filter and it looks to be somewhat fiddly to say the least. I do set great store by proper maintenace - especially oil changes on diesel turbos - but Citroen do not make it easy!

I am afraid I also never trust any dealer or any chain-store garage with regard to previous service history. Much rather DIY if I can - so I can be 100% certain it is done.

Wise word's the only way stand over them well they do it (they don't like that ) or do it you'r self  the last time they done mine they let the oil run out of the filter onto the gear box under tray the under side of my Berlingo and on my drive so i had shape word's with them   and got some freebie's out of them .

I just checked my 1.6HDi 112cv from 2011 Parnter´s air filter and it very easy to access and remove/refit. just undid 3 torx screws and the air filter lid came off. Did not even had to disassemble break fluid reservoir nor air intake tubes...motor code is dv6c9hl...
