I've gone through various sets of led sidelight lamps (501 wedge Base) from cheapo eBay Chinese ones, to £15 ring branded ones, they never seem to last very long. So tonight I got my multimeter out and checked the voltage at the lampholders, it measured around 14.5v, I also checked at the interior light and 12v auxiliary cigar lighter socket, all the same 14.5ish. (with engine running) Now, I know that the alternator in a car pushes out around 14v but should I be getting this everywhere else? Or is there a knackered voltage regulator somewhere?
