hi

just asking is there anyone who had  problem of steering hard to turn as even power  steering oil topped to correct level as it safe to drive but hard to turn in case of emergency turn. but the garage about "2 MOT ago, has said to me the J arm is going (power hydraulic arm under the engine ) as just is it easy for me to replace or try to clean and lubricate so what is the advice from you please and thank you for replying with answers

Have a look at the universal joint at the bottom of the steering column they tend to dry out then the steering gets harder. Look down behind the engine and you will see it, get some lube on it and see if it loosens up.

Soft front tyres will also cause heavy steering.

cheers as i had tried that as its still same but had to do a emergency due to k...h... Arrow  (without looking before!!)suddenly open the passenger door wide onto road as this  possible cause soften them as these tyres are industrial types
