1.6Hdi rough idle on startup
#1
My 2008 1.6Hdi Berlingo van has developed a rough idle upon startup from cold along with signs of blueish smoke. The van has never failed to start and once warm there is no problem.

I have never seen the pre-heater light come on, but I believe that is common with this engine unless temperatures are really cold.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I suspect a leaky injector. If one is dripping slightly it will pool in a piston, cause it to misfire, and then burn off cold with a puff of smoke.

Could be a dodgy injector or air being drawn into the fuel system, prone for pipes rubbing under air box and dragging air in
