Hi everyone. Can anyone please tell me the best Citroën Berlingo to buy. I have seen some with low mileage at £1500. I want good mpg and reliability. I here there are a few problems I should look for? Thanks.

The old 1.9 N/A diesel is slow but reliable. The 1.6HDi needs to have an impeccable service history. My last M59 HDi did 50 mpg with ease. PS Mileage isn't everything to a Berlingo,it's S/H & condition.

MK2 1.6hdi - there are some serious bargains out there - like Ron says service history a must the only really thing to check for is leaking injectors - do a YouTube search and you will get it.
I get about 65mpg on a run out of mine and no lower than 45mpg round the houses.

Is that why ive seen plenty of 1.6hdi's with 200k on them and never a turbo!
There is a lot of bullshit about regarding the 1.6hdi's - even so called mechanics talk it. The 1.6hdi's are in everything from Ford to Suzuki to BMW and there are loads of them out there but because the early ones suffered from a few turbo failures everyones an expert on them because its all over the net.
The 1.6hdi is a great engine - yes some of the early ones had some turbo problems but the 2.0hdi's get there fair share of fuel pump and injector problems. But they are both great engines - beware of what you are told.
