After market stereo interface kit issue

What about the old faithful plan of attack.
Check all connections are tight and properly done
Then
Disconnected stalk interface and check that head unit works properly at head unit...
Then try reinstall interface..

I remember having problems with my connects2go interface... Just cannot remember what I did to fix it...
