This is problem one of those things when you know it is obvious.
I have what I understand is a common problem on my Berlingo 2004 2.0HDI.
Sometimes the speedo works others it does not.
I have bought the sensor but can't find where it goes.
I thought it would go underneath the gearbox to one side and I could change it from under the car.
But I have had it on a ramp and just can't find it.
If anyone has a photo or diagram that would be really useful. Thanks.

Hi Kilabyte welcome to the forum, I'm pretty sure there was the same problem as yours last week and there is a picture of the offending sensor. Have a search on the forum or perhaps one of the other members can remember it.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'v had a search but can not find anything that shows me a diagram or photo.
It seemed vague that the sensor may be on the gearbox near the transmission (which is where I thought it would be but could not find), or that it may be near the ABS area or similar.
Sure it should be an easy job. Really don't want to pay over the odds for a dealer \ garage to do it.
So still looking for confirmation of where it is.

According to the Haynes manual the speedo drive is on the rear of the transmission housing next to the inner end of the right-hand drivesharft. There is one retaining bolt. There are a few pictures in the manual if you can get hold of one.
