Decathlon Base Seconds as day tent/awning?

Anyone using the above (Linky here: http://www.decathlon.co.uk/base-seconds-...08602.html ) with a tailgate style Berlingo?? I have seen a few cars like the Skoda Yeti using them, and vans with the double swing doors, but not sure if its too narrow for the tailgate to open inside the tent.

It doesn't work with the tailgate. But, we do use one in addition to our tailgate awning and pitch it next to the sliding door. Because of the design you can get it really close.

It's very useful and fits vertically in the space between our Amdro boot jump and the tailgate, held in by a bungee.
