hi, we were driving home today when we heard a beep and a message appeared on the mfd say "top up emissions additive, engine starting will be prevented in 1500 miles", vehicle has only done about 4850 miles, it's a 16 plate 100bhp semi auto, I thought this seemed too soon to need topping up

It should last for 12'000 mile's but there is some one on here who had to back to Citroen to have reset who had the same problem has you . Sad

It is a bit soon, but don't worry too much, maybe it wasn't full when new.
We have filled a few Peugeot 308's and they take about 12 to 14 litres in total.
Best to buy it yourself, 20 litres on eBay is about £20 ish.
Sometimes it can take 20 or 30 miles for the warning to go off.
it's a motability vehicle so we will ring up tomorrow

Supermarket, Morrisson garages are stocking adblue now, 10 litres for £11. They have smaller bottles but a 10 times the price.
Where does it go, I understand there is a small tank near the fuel tank but where is the filler for it?

Also do all B9s have adblue or just certain ones, I have a 2009 1.6 HDI 75.
the filler is next to the diesel filler, I believe it is only the latest facelifted version that get it
