Door grab handles
#1
Both my front inner door grab handle trims are worn and the grey paint has worn off revealing the black plastic. Has anybody replaced, painted, come up with a fix?
I have tried wrapping in carbon fibre vinyl but no success too many contours?
Any ideas?

I finished mine just yesterday.
Sanded the handles down a bit, where there were dents etc. Grey primer, 3 coats of BMW Space Grey, 3 coats of clear lacquer ( all from Halfords).
Looks really good, esp. compared with before.

Nice Job, looks realy nice

BTW can you please post the procedure to take the handles off (maybe photos if you have any) and if there are any "watchout" for to take them off without breaking anything..........

I am sure alot of the members of the forum are suffering from this who can benefit

Thanks in advance

Removing handle is very easy.
There are just clips holding the handle, no screws. I used thin flat screwdriver wrapped around with some sellotape to prevent scratches. I slided the screw driver where the A is on the picture, pulled and then worked the way around the handle.

I forgot to mention, the inside handle bit, that you use to open the door, was quite worn as well. I just sanded it down to black plastic, and used this:

to make it look black.

I am about to spray all grey interior bits so will post more pictures once finished.
