Hi I got a Citron Belingo 2000 model 2 week's reason due to my health issues  I had upgrade from a small car it's shame I love our little car had 5 yrs never let us down anyway enough of that this belingo we got oh called him (Blingo)

well to start we got it from a dealer of the internet
we went to see it on the Friday had a look  at engine under neath too body work was sound a few scratches here and there with age of it was expected it was late when we saw it so the next day for a test drive it seamed ok got the gears quite and felt ok the wife was with she was happy we both were and agreed its what we wanted

anyhow we paid the guy of £700 it was a trade in so we was told he did not have history but came with 12month's MOT thought was it then we pick it up on the Monday it had advisers needed 2tyrs for the rear so  took to it my garage where  I get my friend who's in the trade so give it once over I said cam belt will need changing as we no history about it better to be safe n sorry and alternator belt looks as needs doing and 2 tyres

left it with him have by end of the week as had few jobs booked in came Friday rang me said its all done come and pick it up so went and got it payed him and thank him and went home everything was ok until got 2 miles from home and was struggling to get gears thought oh no not gearbox please as new to these cars so eventully I got first gear and pop gear stick had pop off and was stuck in first though now what so coasted to a layby had a look tried pop it back in but was difficult to get back as engine was dam hot and kept touching the dam exhaust so call my friend said something with gear box oh that's not is it said no he said do you think you get back to my garage at all I said i'll give it a go but be a while as stuck in first ok see what you can do well we set off but 2 mile and temp shot up then a light lit up on dash said STOP before I could do anything I spotted a layby next to a petrol station and just got free wheeling as dipped clutch and engine went dead my fear's was a mist of me thinking has engine gone tried to start it nothing

well had to ring RAC out first time in 5 years told problem they send some well being Friday evening it was going to be a hour before they get to me any got call back said it will be longer now due hi volum of call on breakdowns thought tippical everyone gone and broke down so sending a local garage out to me 3 hours later they came I said where come from the moon just laughed no came drillington I don't call that local to me its like 20miles or more any how he looked said could be clutch that's gone so put it on flat bed he brought took it to garage

we got there unloaded it put keys letter box as garage was locked up we went home 10pm when got home after later dinner it was bed time so come the weekend Monday came garage rang said he get on Tuesday so come Tuesday said needs a clutch  so went up to see it still up on ramp as they was waiting for a clutch to arrive I thought I have a good look underneath look ok look at exhaust and has that passed mot it been leaking at the back box so he want it changing said yes then upon looking the flexy brake pipes one was leaking and the other in bad shape so said go through and make sure everything is ok so he lucky nothing else wanted owt he mentioned the door dint lock with I give him I  know I think the other got might be it to lock but wont know till I collect it

so got it back on Thursday and felt all ok took it home had some lunch then went to a local radio dealer as the in the car had no code so got that then went back home then came to some traffic as it was going home time from school so was crawling as I was doing so I noticed the temp was climbing went up to half mark thought now what have bought a lemon  so carry on till I got to the end and off I went temp was half still as I went faster it was dropping thought fans should have kicked in by now I get to my home ready to in garage pop the bonnet and could not here the fans I look down and could see them moving so switch off put my hand in grill to what I could get to one moved ok other was sticking a bit was catching so ordered the temp sensor to see if its that if not looks like a new set of fans and I have seen the price of them too so upon posting this thread I shall go and have a look at them and see what the problem is oh by the way total of the bill when I had all the jobs done came £668 just hope nothing eles go's wrong so there you have it that's the start of a new era for us
