Is there a need to convert?

Thanks, I've had a look on the website and I noticed in the reviews a few complaints about side mirror visibility, what's your opinion please.

Where did you get the wind deflectors? please.

i spend at least two nights every ten days in the van.....i use it as a tent when fishing, hiking, love it!!
sounds very similar to mine except my platform is only about a foot high and is inline with the passenger seat when folded. I also have wind defletors but not quite as nescessary as I have an air extractor on the roof of my van from when it was used to carry gas in its working life... Visibility is not an issue whatsoever, I went further and got these for my van and still havn't any mirror vis issues, apart from when I get in someone elses car and think 'christ they are tiny'

I have 13 reg XTR. I too go minimalist and just remove the rear seats and for my bed I put in my a hiking air sleeping mat and a Duvalay. I think the more you put in the vehicle the more likely the impact on your insurance.
I did give a lot of thought of making a low bed but to me it just added weight and anyway I prefer to sleep well below the windows. As yet I haven't needed an extra under bed storage area.

I had a leisure battery fitted and some screens made to go all round which hook and loop in place.
I did make an American style cook box in which I store all my cooking items and food; this can be just lifted in as needed, (if needed ask Mr Google for ideas and plans) It can also be used as a seat and I have another plastic box to which I fitted shelves for other gear; it has wooden top so I use as table and can put my single burner on it. If needed I can brew up more safely in the van as I have a two cup electric kettle with a cigarette lighter connection for the leisure battery. I put my clothes in roll along bag. I do have a foldable table and chair for outside cooking as needed.

So, my first attempt at cobbling something together. Due to making some mistakes I ran out of bubble insulation and so for the time being will see what happens using my sun screen. it is much darker inside and affords privacy. I am hoping to try it out this weekend.

One of the safety tips is not to have external windscreen covers as you need to get out of the vehicle to drive off, or at least open the doors.

Reimo in Germany  sell quality silver screens for the Berlingo - not sure of price as I got my set secondhand but they are much better than Amdro's as they are insulated (cool in summer and warm in winter)
