Hi,i've also got cooling fan issues,does the same sensor switch on the fans and send a signal to the gauge?

If it is a 2 pin green sensor on the stat housing under the fuel filter housing then yes, that sensor does both the gauge and trigger for rad fan.
If you have a blue and green sensor on there I'm not sure.
