Hi All,
I'm a new member - I've had my silver '53 2.0 Hdi Desire for a month or so now and I love it. However, there was a really loud rattle coming from the moduroof from between the top of the cd holder and the inside of the roof itself. It was driving me mad, so I plugged the gap with bits of sponge/foam, which worked for a few days......and then the rattle returned. I removed all of the foam bits and started thinking.
I 'borrowed' a couple of Tempur matress samples from a local furniture store - they are about the size and shape of a windscreen demister pad. I have now squeezed one in each side at the top of the cd holder and I haven't had a rattle since, not one, complete silence! I assume that the Tempur memory foam just expands and contracts as it can. The samples are even covered in the Tempur material, which happens to match the colour of the moduroof exactly!
So, if you have the same rattle woes, get yourself to your local Tempur stockist.
