High viz / fog lights
#1
Hi
I have a 2017 Berlingo with dealer fitted tow bar and electrics.

It appears that when a trailer with fog lights is attached to the vehicle and the rear fog lights are activated, both the fogs on the vehicle and trailer are illuminated.  With past vehicles I have owned when towing and the rear fog light is activated, the car fog does not light only the trailer.

Is there a problem with the car electronic system or set up?

is it a genuine berlingo towbar or aftermarket with aftermarket electrics

Hi
Yes Citroen main dealer, using Citroen parts by a Citroen trained technician - cost a shedload of cash.
Have written to Citroen UK Technical but got the standard reply that your main dealer will be able to advise - what do they think I have been doing since I discovered the problem 6 months ago.

Just had feedback from Citroen technical via the main dealer. Citroen do not allow programming of the CAMBUS to allow this feature anymore as it not a legal requirement to cut off vehicle fog lamps when a trailer / caravan is attached. So the driving / passenger compartment will be full of red light when the fog lights are deployed.

Maybe you can find a friendly Lexia owner in the NW?
