What a week !!

Well, the title says it all.

Working nights last week, so when I went out on Saturday morning and the steering went "CRACK" I went to the garage I use as I would have neither the time or the inclination to deal with it myself. Turned out to be both front springs broken, so both those with two new top mounts and ARB bushes left me £286 worse off.

Picked Pierre up on Tuesday afternoon, on arriving home Mrs Coco tells me that her father has been taken to hospital and she would like to visit him next week. That's fine thinks me as I'm off all week.

Get home Thursday morning and she tells me that the Hospital say we, "should visit, as he's quite poorly". Uh-oh - that doesn't sound good, so flights booked for Friday a.m., Bristol - Glasgow, the hire car to Aberdeen. Work told I won't be in etc etc.

As we are leaving at 0800 Friday, telephone call to say the old fella died an hour ago. So some tears etc and we decide to go anyway.

So that was another £300 spent.

To cap it all I come back and find that PK has left us - how bad can things get ????

Is Pierre the Berlingo?
Sorry to hear of the loss it sounds like you have had a very tuff week including the car having to be repaired. I think we all have some weeks like that we had it in December when my other halfs mother died.

Wow Coco, that was a bummer. Sorry for your loss. In December my other half's brother-in-law suddenly died.

Yeah, PK will be missed. Would really be curious to hear what happened with him.

Thanks for the sentiments fellas, they are appreciated.

We all get times like this every once in a while, all you can do is go with it. Get next week out of the way - the funeral - and we will be able to see some light, I hope !!

Just have to get the service done this week prior to the trip as we will be driving this time.

Pass on my (our) condolences Coco, sorry to hear about her loss.

PK leaving was a blow for the site, but at least you can see it in perspective. We need some black username armbands on this week.
