Have a close look at the fuel pump in daylight. Usually a metal label there which will tell you what manufacture they are ie. either Bosch or Siemens. Take it yours is the 2.0HDI same as mine...
Berlingo Multispace 2.0HDI '54 reg Mediterranean Blue
yes sorry i should of mention that.
when i bought it i thought it was a 1.9 but now the log book has come through and the insurance documents, it turns out it is a 2ltr. really happy with it considering its done around 135k, the engine is as sweet as a nut, the only thing bugging me really is pulling away from stand still on lower revs it seems to judder. i am doing lots of investigating, at the moment im a bit blank apart from maybe the dual weight flywheel thing being worn somehow or other.
lol,sorry yes its 2.0hdi.
They do judder a bit at low revs.
The M59 does not have a dual mass flywheel. It does have a two part crankshaft pulley which can deteriorate and is worth changing, together with the water pump, when the cambelt is changed.
Another thing worth considering, bearing in mind the mileage, is whether the clutch is past it's best.
thats good, i have had a quick look and they are a damn site cheaper than a dual mass flywheel if i do replace it.
I did a whole load of research recently about using bio diesel in a turbo diesel and the results are not what you'll want to hear.
The consensus is NOT in an HDi engine. :S
