Inlet manifold fluid seepage
#1
On Sunday, when fiddling around with the windscreen scuttle, I noticed a bit of watery fluid had gathered near a seal/join on one of the pipes of the inlet manifold (well I assume it's the inlet manifold - I'm still finding my way around different engine parts, so bear with me if I get it wrong). I dabbed it dry with a bit of tissue - it was definitely watery and not oily. I then drove the vehicle a couple of miles on Sunday night.  I've just had another look at it and the seeping fluid is there again - just on the second pipe (counting L-R when viewed from the front of the vehicle). Photo attached below.  Any info on what this could mean? Thanks.

OK, well I think I've discovered the source of this water. It wasn't obvious to see at first, but it looks like rain is dripping through the top of the bulkhead where the 2 pieces of windscreen scuttle are screwed in. It drips off the bottom of the screw housing and onto the back of the 3rd plastic pipe of the manifold, then runs along and gathers by the 2nd pipe as shown in the pic.  So I guess I haven't got the screw/washer arrangement correct for the scuttle pieces, or maybe it needs some kind of sealant?

Good news that it's not coolant. If it's not too much faff, a bit of sealant sounds like a quick fix.

Yeah I was really relieved to find it's just rainwater getting through a bulkhead screwhole that's not watertight.  I've just stuck some gorilla tape over it as a temporary fix.
