Bleeding brakes
#1
hi guys need a bit of help.berlingo mk2 rear brakes.installed a new master cylinder without priming first.bled 3 corners with no problems.rear nearside coughs and splutters when bleeding with no real flow.I reckon ive spent 5hrs trying to bleed 1 nipple.I phoned a friend who asked me if the rear pressure regulating valve was seized.after looking at it i dont know but what difference would that make as it is still bleeding of sorts, and where is all the air coming from with no obvious leeks:brickwall:

Hi I had problems bleeding rear brakes because the spring on the Pressure valve had rotted off, I held the lever open and bled the brakes using an pressure bleeder (nearly flat tyre @15lbs.) .It worked. I dont know about the air youre getting , mabye from the valve or master cylinder ?. always bleed the furthest away first.
