Lost with Cruise control

DiagBox was (is) a commercially available product, then copies were hacked, leading to people getting their hands on it cheaply. Since none of the money from those sales go to PSA but to the hackers and their subsequent resellers, no support is available.

Even the hardware interfaces are Chinese  copies. The instructions on most of the eBay versions are in Chinese.

You can buy the genuine item but it costs a fortune. If you had the real one then the online functions are available as is support on issues.

I always wondered if say PSA dropped the price to ~£150-200, they would straight away kill all the hacked versions and get a substantial money from the normal people, but of course support provisions would increase drastically.

@Metamatix, you could download an appropriate version of diagbox from the web (e.g. a torrent) and a virtual machine (Win XP or 7) to play around with it on a laptop or a desktop (if you can stretch the interface conveniently somewhat close to the car). If you make a mistake and it does not work, you can delete the virtual machine and start again. Oracle's VM box works on most OS platforms (Mac, Windows): https://www.virtualbox.org/ and it is free.

Dear all, my supporters! This is the story.
Today a friend of mine, ask me to write his VIN number on the new radio that he bought. He has a Peugeot 207 '08 plate, so when i start Lexia, i found out that the menu was completely different from Citroën. I did the job and i drive home thinking what can happen if i "declare" to Lexia another car instead of the correct one.
So, once at home, i made the test, first with Berlingo B9 and, but nothing different from mine M59, then with Peugeot Ranch, but it only has something like Peugeot planet 2000,and finally I've selected the Peugeot 207 as my friend car. Guys, i did everything, i fix the instrument panel and a test drive which gave perfect results. Now i only have 2 lights on, one is airbag and another is the engine light. I fix the engine alarm, but no way to clear the airbag light. Anyway i made a giant jump ahead (by risk) and 90%of my success is thank to all of you. I'll be back with other news. Cheers buddies!
