Recommend me a battery

Battery is kaput,so I'm in the market for a new one.
Can anyone recommend a descent make.?
Do I need a certain ah one .?
What does SAE in the blurb ?
I have a Tudor one at the mo should I just get like for like?

Btw bling is a 1.6 petrol 2007

Looks like Bosch is the way to go then will have a look on line to see who is doing what and for how much.

Your battery tray will take a larger battery should you wish. I have a Passat battery in mine!
It really spins the motor in the cold weather and the cost is not a lot different.

We ave an auto electrical place called Snowden,and the guy there would rather your repeat business than to rip you off so he will advise you rather than palm you off with what he has to shift.
If you can find somewhere like this rather than the "supermarket" outfits they would give you a bit more of their time.
Max AH for the biggest unit you can fit in the tray.
Watch the hight though -you dont want the bonnet with holes burned through!!
My vans manual actually recommends fitting a bigger battery for high drain users.
Ive had success with Hella batteries in the past.

I had a look today and I'm currently using a Lucas one , the name surprised me as it has been faultless .cratch:

Go to my Garage page -you will see my '61 AJS Model 14 bike -they were fitted with Wipac electrics rather than the usual Lucas "Prince of Darkness" kit on most other Brit bikes.
How far from Meriden would you be fromillyme:
Really difficult to get hold of it now and therefore most owners go for electronic ignition kits and 12-volt electrics.
