Hi Everybody -
We have just got a brand new Berlingo - it's a 1.6 diesel manual, red and shiny, it is a VTR one and we wanted to get a center consul for it, to go between the two front seats as there seems to be very little storage in the new car - the old 1.9 02 multispace had lots..I don't know if its because the car is new or what but it seems very hard to get any advice/ideas about even if they are available..anyone got any ideas??
Ta

Theres a few on ebay but not confident about it fitting VTR without getting a new base.

The centre box isnt that brilliant, mind you, its very plasticky and quite deep and narrow which means youre always rummaging around to get things out.
Thought about a bespoke wooden one?
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Thought about a bespoke wooden one? Good point -thanks, just heard back from dealer, the box is 130 quid! Plus they would have to have a look to see if my base was OK, so that's a non runner..have to think of something else, the wooden thing sounds good,
maybe give it a go,

FatPaddy100 A workmate ,who did part time lecturing evening woodwork classes at the tech did one for his old triumph.
It was done like a motor boat-perfect laquered finish solid wood - perfect design and fit.
I was inspired by this and set about making one myself for my Mk2 escort.
3hrs later I lit the bonfire and put the ford one back in:whistle:

lol know the feeling - we will probably get a plastic box, with lid, and stuff it down the back of passenger seat, to go in boot if passengers need space..the door pockets on new car are stylish - small awkward and
pointless really - sometimes you think "if it aint broke....." but then again, its a Berlingo so you forgive it
