Hello folks,
Im new to the forum and berlingo ownership.
I have trawled the forum looking at all the hints and tips for owning the 1.6 hdi engine and have found it very informative.
I have a 2006/7 1.6hdi with 61000 on the clock which seeems to be very straight the body work is rust free and the engine seems smooth and strong. i am going to convert to a camper but am a bit aprehensive after reading reports about turbo problems with this engine model. (not sure about spending the money on converting a flawed engine)
Other than using good quality oil and regular servicing are there any other things i should be looking out for.
i filled up and have done 351miles and the fuel needle is sitting between 1/2 and 1/4 so i guess ill get about 500 on this tank which im happy with.
There are no noises or clunks and there is a lot of power compared to my old T4.
The model is a Berlingo Desire 1.6hdi 90, silver with roof rack.
Im sorry for the long post but im just curious.
Thanks....Dave
